Meet the Artists

Poverello Prints ~

The Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi have been creating affordable greetings cards with a spiritual focus since the early 1980′s.  We greatly appreciate your support of this ministry, and truly feel blessed to be able to share our artistic and writing gifts this way.  Most of these cards are approximately 4×6 in size, including a range of styles from line drawings, 2-3 color images, full color reproductions of photographs and brush paintings.

All of our cards are designed and produced by Sisters, friends and Associates of the Community.  By buying our cards, you help support the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.

Photography & Beyond ~

Sharing her eye for the beauty of God’s Creation through digital photography and poetic writings, Sr. Judy creates 5×7 greeting cards, as well as small matted prints (4×6, 5×7 and 8×10).

Sr. Judy began as the first designer and founder of Poverello Prints before full color was as economical as it is today.  Now, with the aide of computer technology she is able to design, write and produce her own line of cards.  The cards are 5×7 in size and based on her photographic images, primarily of nature, landscapes, and close-ups.  Verses are often spiritual in nature, flowing from the God connections Sr. Judy experiences in the rhythms and events of daily living.

Beyond photography, Sr. Judy uses her sewing talents in making decorative seasonal and year-round towels with coordinated fabric toppers.  These towels work well both in the kitchen and bath as beautiful accent pieces.

  • Sr. Ceil’s original watercolors are transformed into 5X7 greeting cards with the aid of computer technology.
  • Another creative outlet for Sr. Ceil is Seeds-n-Stuff. Mother Nature provides most of the makings for her wall and table-top art and critters.  (At this time, Seed-n-Stuff, is available only through our Poverello Gift Shop)
