MUG RUGS – Just what are they?

“Mug Rugs” . . . just what are we talking about?  A mug rug is a catchy way of describing a ‘fabric coast’ for your favorite cup, glass, or mug.  These coasters are created by  Sr. Judy, often from remnants and pieces of leftover material from her fabric towel toppers.  This particular design features 6 folded hexagons and a single layer of fabric backing, giving seven layers of fabric between your cup and t he surface it is placed on. The size is approximately 4.5 inches across at the widest point and will actually provide enough surface for a quart drinking mug. 

 A mug rug is more user friendly than those ceramic coasters you have used in the past.  Mix and match for a splash of color around the room when having guests, celebrating a holiday, or just to have around.  Join the craze and give your cup, glass, or mug a “Happy Place” to rest.
